“A” Community League Baseball & Girls Softball Information
Here's what to expect.
Baseball
- The baseball division is part of the Central Alberta Baseball League. It is an organized community team sport that requires regular attendance and a commitment to your team for the short season. League play begins at the U11 age group up to U19. There will be weekly scheduled games (or practices) played throughout our zone 4 (central Alberta) region in the months of May and June, followed by league playoffs scheduled at the end of June for all teams who are in the league. Your league teams will be tiered by C.A.B.L throughout the season and played in the appropriate tiers for the playoff tournaments.
- Your team managers and coaches may also choose to enter your team into additional team tournaments. These tournaments will be at an additional cost to you. They are not included in your registration fees.
- Team sponsors or fundraising is encouraged to help with those additional costs.
- U7 and U9 groups are parent pitched, and the games will be exhibition games organized by your teams coaches and managers. There are tournaments available for these ages as well. If your managers and coaches decide to enter your team, expect the additional costs.
Girls Softball
- The softball division joined the Central Alberta Softball League in 2024, league play in this league starts at the U11 age level as well. Similar to our baseball teams, they will also play scheduled league games set up by C.A.S.L. You can expect a similar, but not the same scheduling as our baseball league running through the months of May and June. Like our baseball division, it is an organized team sport that requires regular attendance and commitment to your team. As of last year, there were no playoffs scheduled for softball. However that may change in the future.
- Tournaments are also available and may be booked by your team managers and coaches at an additional cost to you.
- U7 & U9 groups are parent pitched, and exhibition games will be scheduled by the managers and coaches.
Both leagues will release the schedules at the end of April. When this happens, your practice schedule is likely to change.
